The true spirit of a martial art is found within its execution of motion. therefore, under the direction of Sifu Jaye, the White Dragon Academy of Kung Fu is devoted to providing comprehensive instruction of the teaching & philosophy of our late Grandmaster Dr. Daniel K. Pai's family martial art style. Known throughout the martial art community and the world as Pai Te Lung (or Pai Lum) kung fu. Sifu Jaye has over 30 years of martial arts knowledge and experience. Furthermore, he has studied Pai Te Lung under the instruction of Grandmaster Larry W. Collins for over 15 years now. During Grandmaster Collins 36 years of Pai Te Lung training, he studied under the direction of Professor Reginator and Great-Grandmaster Pai, himself, until the death of Great-Grandmaster Pai on May 28, 1993.
Because self defense is the primary fudamental goal for every student, your first day of training our instructors will teach you how to defend yourself against an attack. While other martial art styles teach you basic stances or basic drills (such as step-punch or step-kick) for several weeks or even months before you are actually able to start working against an opponent. Even though we emphasize self defense in our training, we are opposed to bullying and brutality. The level of defense must equal the level of threat to be effective. We strongly believe taht having the ability to protect our loved ones and ourselves, should the need arise, is a valuable asset.
Our training is designed to build your skill and abilities and your character, while reinforcing good moral values such as: respect, self-discipline, integrity, courage and honor. This is accomplished within our four areas of training: Forms, Techniques, Application and Philosophy
